About Maize Roast Uganda
We speak Maize — and English is our second language. Every kernel we roast carries the warmth of Uganda.
We have connected a thousands of communities across Uganda
We understand maize brings people together and many people have eaten maize. We appreciate what nature has always given to us, and through maize we have connected a number of communities through this movement. We move to all regions in Uganda.
Through the warmth of an open grill, we bring together farmers, families, youth, and leaders — building bridges between communities that share one common love: maize.
Who We Are
Rooted in community and driven by purpose — everything we do begins with the belief that a single kernel of maize can bring people, ideas, and opportunities together.
Roasting Communities Together
To create inclusive, vibrant festivals across Uganda that celebrate maize as a symbol of nourishment and unity — connecting farmers, entrepreneurs, families, and communities through shared food, culture, and opportunity.
A Uganda United by Culture
To become East Africa's most celebrated community festival — a movement that empowers local economies, uplifts grassroots entrepreneurship, and preserves Uganda's rich agricultural heritage for generations to come.
Community. Culture. Impact.
We believe in the power of people — in generosity, in belonging, and in shared plates. We lead with inclusivity, honour local heritage, and measure success not by numbers alone but by the lives we enrich along the way.
Message from the organizer
"We speak Maize — and English is our second language. Every kernel we roast carries the warmth of Uganda."
Welcome to Uganda Maize Roasting Fest. Since the very first grill was lit, this festival has been about far more than food — it is about people, purpose, and the extraordinary power of community. From Kampala to Gulu, from the western highlands to the northern plains, we have roasted, laughed, and given together. I am honoured to lead this movement and grateful for every partner, volunteer, and neighbour who makes it possible. Come, pull up a chair, and let the maize speak as we share business ideas, connect to the opportunities and impact communities together.
