Welcome to Uganda Maize Roasting Fest — where a humble cob of maize becomes a powerful symbol of unity, generosity, and culture.
Rooted in the heart of Uganda and spreading across every region of the Pearl of Africa, we are more than a festival. We are a movement. Through the warmth of an open grill, we bring together farmers, families, youth, and leaders — building bridges between communities that share one common love: maize.
Every roasting event is an act of charity. We feed the hungry, support local farmers, and run outreach programmes that uplift the most vulnerable in our communities. When the smoke rises, so does hope.
We believe in the power of connection. Our events are gathering grounds — spaces where local vendors grow their businesses, young people find opportunity, and neighbours become networks. From Kampala to Gulu, from Mbarara to Arua, every grill we light sparks a new relationship. And at the centre of it all is a simple, beautiful idea: maize is for everyone. Not a luxury, not a speciality — a snack for the street, the home, the school, and the celebration. Affordable, nourishing, and deeply Ugandan.

Welcome to Uganda Maize Roasting Fest. Since the very first grill was lit, this festival has been about far more than food — it is about people, purpose, and the extraordinary power of community. From Kampala to Gulu, from the western highlands to the northern plains, we have roasted, laughed, and given together. I am honoured to lead this movement and grateful for every partner, volunteer, and neighbour who makes it possible.
